We are a boy's school with co-educational Sixth Form. There are currently 935 pupils on roll; approximately 100 of these are boarders. The Sixth Form has about 340 students of whom just over 100 are girls.
The School is seeking to appoint an individual who is compassionate, caring, kind, reliable and flexible to safeguard and look after the well-being of the boys resident in Senior Boarding, in accordance with the national Minimum Boarding Standards (NMBS). The post holder will also be required to provide housekeeping duties, ensuring standards of cleanliness, safety and service are maintained at all times.
This is a temporary position provisionally until the end of the summer term 2021, subject to review.
A recognised First Aid qualification is preferred; however applicants should not be deterred from applying if they do not hold a current qualification as full training will be provided.
The ability to attend to call-outs to the Boarding House quickly is a necessary part of this role and a car is essential.
Uniform is provided.
The role is for 20 hours per week (mainly weekend cover) and is a term-time only position.

Haberdashers' Adams (formerly Adams' Grammar School) is a co-ed selective state grammar school in the market town of Newport, Shropshire, founded in 1656.The School welcomes boys aged 11-18 as day boys or boarders, and girls aged 16-18 as day girls in our Sixth Form.
