St John Plessington Catholic College is a large 11-18 non-selective Catholic voluntary academy located in Bebington on the breath-taking Wirral, a short distance from Liverpool city centre. 


St John Plessington is a high performing comprehensive school with a track record of innovation and exciting practice. The school has been at the centre of system leadership for many years and continues to thrive with its designation as a Teaching School Hub. 


The College is part of Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust, comprising, currently of five schools and also includes, Wirral and Cheshire Maths Hub, one of only eight Creativity Collaboratives across the country and of course, ‘Inspire Learning Teaching School Hub’.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for learning who understands the importance of research in their work. They would need to be a committed and energised Catholic, ready to share their faith with the school and wider community. The new Headteacher will be someone who recognises and shares the highest of standards in all they deliver and do so with a strong sense of social justice.
