The school is a high-performing comprehensive. In 2023, we achieved a 0.41 progress score. English Literature is taught at Key Stage 5 and is a popular subject in our sixth form. A Level English Literature has been 100% A*-C from 2019 to 2023.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
