What is a valid username?

A valid username can be anything between 3 and 30 characters and may contain numbers. We do not allow spaces or symbols in a user name.

 

Can I create multiple usernames?

No, it’s not possible to create multiple usernames linked to the same email address.

 

When trying to register, I get an error message ‘This email address already exists’. What does this mean?

If you get this error message, this means we already have an account linked to your email address. You can reset the login details linked to your email address.

I haven’t received a TES activation email. What shall I do?

The activation email is sent as soon as you complete the registration process. Activation email should be delivered in your inbox, however, please remember to check your SPAM / Junk folder as well. If you can’t find the activation email, please contact help@tes.com.

 

Is it possible to change my username?

Yes, send an email request to help@tes.com from the email address registered on our site quoting your preferred new username. Please remember symbols or spaces are not allowed in a username. 

 

How do I delete my existing registration?

To remove your existing registration, please email help@tes.com. Remember to include your TES username and send your request from the registered email address.

 

What can I do if I have forgotten my username/password?

You can reset your login details by clicking on Reset Login.

 

How can I change the email address/password linked to my TES registration?

To change your email address or password, log onto the site. Once logged in, click on your user name appearing at the top of the page. From the options, select ‘My Account’ followed by ‘change account details’.

 

Profile FAQs
 

What are profiles?

Every TES member has a profile, your profile will help you make connections with other teachers or members of our community and it also helps you stay in touch with what they’ve been up to on the site.

 

How much information do I need to add to my profile?

You can add as much or as little information as you’re comfortable with. But the more you add the more useful the TES website becomes. For example if you add a biography to your profile explaining your love of rock climbing you could also hook up with other teachers who like to climb mountains.

 

How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, you need to login first. Once logged in, click on your username, which appears at the top of the page. From the options, select My Profile followed by Edit profile.

 

How do I make profile information public/private?

You can also make aspects of your profile private so they can’t be viewed by anybody else. To change the status of your profile tick or untick the Public box alongside your profile information.

 

How do I add an image to my profile?

You can add an image to your profile (we can handle gif and jpg files). This image will appear next to any resources you upload and any messages you post in the TES Community. You can either upload a photograph of yourself, or choose an image that represents you, or you could choose a graphic from our library. However you should make sure you have the appropriate permissions to use this image.
You'll find the Add picture option in your Edit Profile page.

 

Magazine Subscriptions

I want to view digital editions of the magazine

In order to view Tes Digital Editions, you are required to have a subscription with us.  If you do not already subscribe please go to www.tes.com/store to sign up.

If you are an existing subscriber, please log in at www.tes.com, you are required to have your subscriber ID linked to your account (see below for details).  Once it is linked, click on ‘Back Issues’, the most recent copy of the magazine will be on the right hand side.

How do I link my subscription to my Tes Account?

To do this, please log in to your tes.com account.  Then click on ‘Store’ at the top of the page and, ‘My products’, here you will be able to add your subscriber ID

Where can I find my subscriber ID?

You can find this on the outer wrapper of the printed copy of the magazine, just above the name and address.  It is Approximately 10 digits long, beginning with either A-S or the number 4.  It can also be found in email correspondence from us, confirming your subscription.

Alternatively, if you are still unsure, please email the Membership customer services team on membership@tes.co.uk with details of your name and delivery address so that we are able to assist you with this.

How can I subscribe to the magazine?

Please go to www.tes.com/store to find all current options for your subscription and follow the prompts to set up your required subscription for Tes or Tess

How do I update my Delivery address?

To complete this, once your subscription has been linked to your account (see How do I link my subscription to my Tes Account? – above)

You can then click on ‘Update Details’ and amend your address here.  Please remember to click ‘Save’ before you exit this screen.

How do I stop my Magazine copy being delivered?

If you would like to permanently or temporarily stop receiving deliveries of the magazine, please go to ‘Store’ and ‘My Products’ and once your subscription is linked (for how to do this, see above) click on ‘Update Details’.  At the bottom of this screen, you will locate a box next to ‘Stop Sending Paper Copies’ please tick this.  This will turn off your deliveries within the next 10 working days.

Please note that, if you wish to start receiving deliveries again you will need to follow the process above to remove the tick from the box.

This feature is designed to assist schools and individuals who do not wish to receive copies of the magazine for a particular period of time (i.e. school holidays).

It is important to remember that, turning off the paper copies **does not** pause or extend the subscription in any way.  Therefore, if you resume your deliveries, your renewal date for the subscription will remain the same.

Can I share my Digital Subscription?

Individual subscriptions allow access for a single user.  However, we offer various packages for schools and institutions wishing to obtain wider access to our digital content.  If this is something that you are interested in, please contact customer services by email at membership@tes.com or by phone on 0345 521 7111.
