Geography panel

We want to help Geography teachers network; to share ideas, to talk about current issues in education and classrooms, to work collaboratively on interesting projects and to share guidance and offer support to each other. The Geography panel is led by Dan Hartley


Anna Hormigo


Until September 2011, I worked at an 11-18 comprehensive school in Derbyshire, where I was appointed Outdoor Education Coordinator. I am now Head of Department at an 11-16 comprehensive school in Rotherham. I am a keen outdoor enthusiast and have travelled extensively through Europe, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, Tanzania and Zanzibar.


Therese Andrews


I am Head of Middle School at the British School of Boston. I teach KS3 geography, IGCSE Geography, IGCSE Global Perspectives and IB Geography. I am an external examiner for Edexcel, a corresponding member of the Geographical Association Physical Geography Special Interest Group and led BSB to a Secondary Geography Quality Mark in 2011.


Lisa Kent


I am currently Head of Geography at a comprehensive school in Winchester. I have a keen interest in developing new rersources that engage and motivate pupils. In particular I am keen on the use of ICT and thinking skills to promote learning.
