Our client, a small community based centre are looking for an Assistant Manager to commence ASAP. The centre caters for 56 children aged from four months through to 5 years.



  • Knowledge and understanding of the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
  • Knowledge in the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Framework (EYLF) for Australia - Belonging, Being and Becoming
  • Program co-ordination: provide guidance and support to all educators in the development and implementation of the children’s program based on the EYLF, NQF and best practice approaches to supporting children’s learning
  • Ensure all employees adhere to Centre requirements at all times
  • Possess a high level of both oral and written communication skills
  • Possess sound time management skills
  • The ability to prioritise competing centre demands and to act upon these in accordance with centre Policy and procedures
  • The ability to work independently when required
  • Ensure all decisions taken are reported to the Centre Manager
  • Provide administrative support to the Centre Manager


The successful applicant must possess current early childhood qualifications, such as a Bachelor in Early Childhood. Additionally, successful completion or current undertaking of the following will be advantageous:

  • Experience in a long day care setting including working with children under 3 years
  • SACS Management or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Knowledge and experience with Hubworks or similar fee system
  • Computer literacy
