Campus Minister (Commencement 22 January 2014)

Marist College in Ashgrove


The College has a vacancy for a Campus Minister for commencement 22 January 2014.


The Campus Minister works closely with others in the Campus Ministry team, to expand and develop solidarity/social justice activities and faith development programs. While the Campus Minister will, from time to time, work with younger students, the major focus is on students in Years 8-12, including boarding students.


This is a term-time, continuing position. The position is classified as a Level 5 School Officer position. The hourly rate is currently $28-29. The hours are 38 hours/week during the College term. During College breaks, there are planned ministry events such as immersions which the Campus Minister may be expected to attend. (Authorised work during College breaks would be paid.)


The ideal applicant will have

  • Strong commitment to the Catholic faith
  • A Certificate IV in Youth Work or Pastoral Care
  • Extensive experience in relating to young people
  • Demonstrated commitment to evangelisation and social justice
  • Demonstrated capacity to enthuse and lead young people, especially young men, and
  • Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team.
