Scotch Oakburn College is seeking applications from experienced rowing coaches for this part-time maximum term position, commencing 9 September, 2013 and ending 17 April 2014.

Scope of the Position:
Scotch Oakburn College has a long and proud sporting tradition which in the case of rowing, extends as far back as 1901.Our sporting programs focus on participation, teamwork, skills development, enjoyment and the development of life-long appreciation of the importance of fitness, leadership and mutual respect. These aims are best enjoyed in an atmosphere of encouragement and praise from coaches, team-mates and parents.
Our sporting program offers students the opportunity to develop a higher self-esteem and a love of healthy recreation. By participating in sport, students establish lasting friendships and acquire an understanding of the importance of working as a team.
The Coaching Coordinator plays a vital role in helping coaches provide athletes with the skills and knowledge needed to develop, improve and succeed in their sport and have a major influence over participants’ enjoyment of sport.
Your commitment to being the Coaching Coordinator is to oversee the recruitment, appointment, and development of rowing coaches across all rowing age groups and to facilitate the best possible communication, cooperation and coordination of coaching in the Scotch Oakburn rowing program.
