Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College is located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne’s CBD.

 

We continue to embed a culture of personalised learning with an integrated approach. This is ideally achieved through working with staff, families and students in order to maximise student potential and ensure delivery of high standards of learning and teaching.

 

We are seeking a proven teacher and leader to deliver the learning and teaching goals for learning enhancement.  You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead the Learning Enhancement team in a program that establishes implements, asses and evaluates personalised learning for our students.

 

Key accountabilities include the ability to:

  • To develop, establish and communicate appropriate education curriculum and pedagogy that supports individual needs of students.
  • To establish and maintain documentation of appropriate individual learning programs.
  • To assess individual students learning needs and assist teachers with addressing through classroom methodology.
  • To mentor and provide professional guidance to staff for teaching students with additional learning needs, including gifted and talented.
  • To lead Educational Learning Support staff supporting teachers with students learning needs.
  • To establish and maintain the annual application for funding regarding individual needs.

 

The successful candidate would have a passion in the area of special and individual education. You would also display exemplary abilities in differentiated instruction, effective pedagogical teaching, assessment strategies, and high regard for student wellbeing.

 

In addition the preferred applicants will have an understanding of and commitment to the Ethos of Independent schooling and a willingness to contribute to the co-curricular program run at the College.

  • Relevant qualifications and demonstrated abilities to teach.
  • High level skills in utilising technology within teaching.
