To support the realisation of this goal Loreto Kirribilli invites applications from experienced and qualified teachers for the position of Director of Student Wellbeing 7-12 To commence Term 1, 2014

 

The Director of Student Wellbeing is responsible for the welfare and pastoral care of students in the Senior School and leads and manages the Year Co-ordinator team. The position involves working directly with students, staff and parents on a broad range of matters and initiatives.

 

The successful applicant will have

 

  • a willingness to support the Catholic faith as it is expressed through the mission of Loreto education
  • a record as an effective and inspiring classroom teacher
  • a demonstrated ability to promote and build positive relationships that are based on mutual respect and trust
  • a passionate interest in the growth of girls in a school environment
  • a familiarity with current research pertaining to the development of girls and issues that affect them
  • the ability to initiate and maintain programs and activities that support the School’s pastoral care mission and vision
  • several years of experience at school middle leadership level or above
  • excellent communication skills
  • appropriate post graduate qualifications, usually at Masters level or above.

 

 

The Director of Student Wellbeing is directly responsible to the Principal and is a significant member of the School Executive Team.
