A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Early Childhood Assistant within our Early Childhood Education & Care centre in Rooty Hill. This position is to work 6.5 hours per day; Monday – Friday.


The role

In this role you will bring your passion for working with children to our supportive team to provide quality education and care services. You will work with a team of dedicated educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS). You will assist in the observation and evaluation of children’s development to support their learning outcomes. You will also engage with families and the community.


The service

SDN Beranga is a project developed by SDN Child & Family Services and funded by NSW Government.  Based in Rooty Hill, SDN Beranga is a demonstration centre for the most effective and exemplary practice in the field of early childhood education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The service will integrate both early childhood intervention and mainstream early childhood education.


About you

You will have:

  • Certificate III in Children’s Services
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number (or be willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent relationship building skills
