Description

We require a full-time Early Childhood Assistant. In this role you will assist with providing high-quality early childhood education and care that meets the needs, interests and abilities of each child, whilst providing a safe and healthy environment.

 

 

The centre

SDN Redfern Children’s Education and Care Centre has been operating since 1938. The child care centre caters for 51 children between the ages of six weeks and five years old.

 

 

Responsibilities

- Communicate positively and openly with children

- Identify and respond to infant’s cues and needs

- Assist to create a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment

- Assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s development

- Implement and maintain the elements of National Quality Standards (NQS) including National Regulations, Law and EYLF.

 

 

 

Criteria

To be considered for the role you will have:

- Certificate III in Children’s Services

- Experience in a similar role

- The ability to form warm, responsive relationships with children

- High level verbal and written communication skills

- Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision
