Purpose of the Position:

This position requires a qualified Catholic Educator with a strong background in classroom teaching to provide expert knowledge and leadership in the implementation of quality contemporary teaching and learning. The Officer will work as a member of the Education Services Team to support diocesan schools in the provision of quality Catholic Education within the context of the Wilcannia-Forbes Statement of Faith.


Selection Criteria


Essential Criteria

  • Practising Catholic with a sound understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic education.
  • Four-year-trained teacher qualification and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Highly developed classroom skills.
  • Experience in supervision and development of curriculum.
  • Experience in leading or supporting the school as an authentic professional learning community.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Sound organisational, administrative and managerial skills.


Desirable Criteria

  • Middle leadership experience in at least one (1) Catholic school.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regional/rural/remote Catholic education.
  • Experience in pedagogy aligned with digital learning.
