Inclusion Support Facilitator – Sydney North West Region - NSW




An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified early childhood educator to join SDN’s Inclusion Support Agency as an Inclusion Support Facilitator (ISF).  


We are seeking a part-time (4 days/week) ISF.  The positions will be based at our offices in Penrith.



The Programs

Inclusion Support Agencies are part of the National Inclusion and Professional Support Program, funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.  Inclusion Support Facilitators support staff to provide eligible early education & care services with practical support that will help them to build their capacity to provide a quality inclusive environment for children with additional needs.




- Respond in a timely manner to requests and referrals for inclusion support from eligible ECEC services and IPSP Grant Recipients.

- Assist eligible ECEC services to access IPSP support and resources as appropriate

- Identify practices that facilitate inclusion of children with additional needs in ECEC settings, and share these with eligible ECEC services and with IPSP Grant Recipients;

- Assist eligible ECEC services to identify their professional development needs and opportunities, and

- make referrals, as appropriate, to the PSC, IPSU or providers of other services and programs in the Region;




  • University qualifications in early childhood education and care with relevant work experience
  • An understanding and commitment to strength based approaches and a demonstrated understanding of strategies that promote the inclusion of  children with additional needs and their families
  • Demonstrated  ability to facilitate critical reflection and planning for continuous improvement
  • Understanding of the Australian Government child care services sectors, relevant  legislation, learning frameworks, and available resources and support
  • Knowledge of, or ability to gain, deep understanding of the IPSP as an integrated national program and how the elements work together to build capacity of services.
  • Current drivers licence and own car
