The Service

At St Albans North Preschool we provide four year old kindergarten programs in a safe and secure environment where children can express themselves and enjoy their kindergarten experience. Our programs offer children the opportunity to grow and develop through play, the way children learn best.


St Albans is well equipped and has a large recently upgraded outdoor area that features new equipment, a sandpit and safety rubber. The team recognises the importance of physical and outdoor play and facilitates activities that promote the development of fine and gross motor skills.


Our educators support language development both in English and in languages spoken at home.


The Position

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic qualified Kindergarten Educator/Lead Teacher to take on teaching responsibilities of a 4 year old group and be the Nominated Supervisor of the service.


This is a permanent part time role working Monday – Thursday, 25 hours per week, consisting of 15 contact hours, 7.5 non contact hours and a 2.5 management support hours.  This position is paid under the VECTAA award.


To be successful in this role you need to possess the appropriate Early Childhood teaching qualification and be able to demonstrate your experience in leading a team. Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or Nominated Supervisor is desirable.


In addition, you will be required to provide current evidence of the following:

  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • Anaphylaxis Certificate
  • Asthma Training
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • The Right to Work in Australia
