The Network Administrator and Helpdesk Support provides day-to-day technical support for users, network infrastructure, internal servers and desktop systems software and hardware.


The successful applicant will have sound and up-to-date knowledge of:


  • Sound knowledge of IP networking and applications running over networks, Network Security, Firewalls, URL Filtering
  • A broad range of HP networking Procurve products
  • Alcatel OMNIPCX enterprise 4760 phone over IP communication systems
  • Alcatel wireless controller OAW-6000 / Aruba access points
  • Juniper firewalls
  • Door card access systems
  • A broad range of Microsoft products (windows server 2008 and 2012, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, IIS)
  • Apple hardware and Mac OS operating systems
  • Windows 8/7/ Office 2013, with minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Windows and MS Office in windows server environment


Further requirements are:


  • Excellent communication skills and appropriate qualifications.
  • The ability to support in a classroom environment and Microsoft / Adobe based windows applications
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to systematically analyse and solve problems


The following are highly desirable:


  • Knowledge of  Exchange 2010 and SQL 2008
  • Knowledge of Citrix, Citrix NetScaler and VMWare
  • Experience in using Altiris for deployment, Sophos AntiVirus Enterprise and EMC Backup solution: Networker and Data Domain
