  • Maternity Leave Cover (Full time) – Commencing Term 4 (2013). 1 Term relief cover.
  • Maternity Leave Cover (Full time) – Commencing Term 4 (2013). 1 Year relief cover.
  • Maternity Leave Cover (0.8 FTE) - Visual Arts – Commencing Term 4 (2013).  1 Year relief cover.
  • Long Service Leave Cover (Full time – 1 year contract) – Commencing 2014.


Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, founded in 1972, is an Independent, Anglican, co‑educational, Day and Boarding school for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12.  About 80% of our Year 12 students are university aspirants, with the others seeking entry to Institute of Technology Colleges (formerly TAFE). Students are principally drawn from the South West region, with others coming from Perth, the Great Southern region, the North West and neighbouring countries.  Approximately twenty percent of the Secondary students board at the School.


The advertised vacancies commence at various start dates.



  • A full knowledge of Student Portfolios, Student Outcome Statements/or Progress Maps and the Curriculum Framework is essential.
  • An understanding of current curriculum developments, including the K- 10 Syllabus and National Curriculum.
  • Evidence of providing a differentiated curriculum to meet the academic needs of individual students.
  • The ability to establish a caring environment, which will be non-threatening to the students.
  • A willingness to take full pastoral responsibility for up to 26 students in a class.
  • The ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with the parents of the children in the class.
  • The ability to join in socially and to establish a sound working relationship with colleagues in the Primary and Secondary School.
  • A willingness to take an active role in the School’s professional development programme.
  • The ability and desire to coach Primary School teams in the afternoon after school and on weekends, throughout the year, as part of the School’s Co-curricular sport programme.
  • A willingness to be involved in whole school activities, e.g. evening performances, fundraising events, after school interviews and meetings.
  • A willingness to be involved in the organisation and management of a school camp of three to five days duration.
  • A willingness to be actively involved in the religious life of the School, eg. attending Chapel Services, encouraging Christian principles.  A Religious Education Specialist formally teaches the Christian Education Studies programme.
  • A sound knowledge of information technology and the ability to incorporate information technology in the teaching and learning programme.

Teacher’s salary scales are available on the Schools website in accordance with the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. The level of remuneration will be based upon the successful candidates completed years of full time experience.
