# Secondary Maths Collection – Brain-Cells GCSE Revision

#### Brain-Cells GCSE Revision

Collection Author:Craig Barton - Maths AST and creator of www.mrbartonmaths.com (TES Name: mrbartonmaths)

I have long been a fan of the website Brain-Cells since it was set-up in around 2005. Back then, as it is now, it was rare to find a website which offered high quality and accessible maths material for students.

David Smith, the creator of Brain Cells, has kindly shared his 56 GCSE revision presentations here on TES. They take students step-by-step through all the important GCSE topics – inequalities, similarity, surds, all the big names are covered. Students are presented with a series of exam style questions, and then are given clear guidance on the steps required to solve them.

I have given these as a bundle to my students to use at home as they prepare for their exams, and many of them have commented that they find the explanations clearer than they get on MyMaths. And of course, anything that helps them better understand topics, get more practice and put their minds at ease is alright with me.I have given these as a bundle to my students to use at home as they prepare for their exams, and many of them have commented that they find the explanations clearer than they get on MyMaths. And of course, anything that helps them better understand topics, get more practice and put their minds at ease is alright with me.

David Smith introduces his resources as follows:

“The material here is short pieces of work that I have used during revision type lessons. I would normally try to do this after we had covered a topic. A revision lesson might cover two topics with each topic ending with the respective topic from the cd. The material is - my students have told me - useful for going through individually at home”

Enjoy these fantastic resources, and please also take a moment to visit the excellent Brain-Cells website
