Located in the picturesque Southern Highlands, about halfway between Sydney and Canberra, Camp Wombaroo offers a great range of fun and engaging programs and outdoor activities for school camps, groups and those seeking a venue for weekend retreats. Camp Wombaroo is owned and operated by the Outdoor Education Group. The Camp Mission is to provide schools, individuals and community groups with positive experiences that create an awareness of self, others and the natural world through adventure, outdoor and environmental education.

 

The SGL role is specifically designed to support the daily facilitation and management of programs at Camp Marysville. As senior members of the team, the Senior Group Leaders are seen to hold a unique position to both coach and role model best practice in centre alongside Group Leaders.

 

As an Outdoor Education Professional working with OEG you have the opportunity to work at Camp Marysville. Our programs deliver meaningful education through activities such as bushwalking, mountain biking, skiing, rock climbing and group initiatives.

 

OEG is the outdoor education industry leader with over 25 years experience educating students in the outdoors. OEG provides first class training; professional development opportunities and succession planning, long term careers progression options and you have the ability to stream into specific areas of expertise.

 

Senior Group Leaders will have specific responsibility for: Leading excellence in programming for schools and non-school programs on site, Providing mentoring to peers and less experienced field staff and Assisting with the ongoing development of Camp Marysville.
