We are currently seeking a Teacher Aide to work in our Learning Enhancement team with students from prep through to year 12.  The Teacher Aide – Learning Enhancement role is focused on assisting in the implementation of the Learning Enhancement Program by providing in class support of students under the direction of the class teacher as well as performing general support and administration duties.


The role is 3 days a week during school term time and will be offered on a fixed term contract commencing in January 2014.


Whilst it is expected this role will work across a varied spectrum of the curriculum, it is essential that the successful candidate have a strong ability to support students with numeracy based work at a range of year levels.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting the Learning Enhancement Coordinator  in implementing the  program across the Primary and Secondary Schools
  • Working directly with students in class to provide assistance in facilitating the learning for students withspecific needs as allocated by the Learning Enhancement Coordinator
  • Facilitating small group support to students as allocated by the Learning Enhancement Coordinator
  • Building a rapport with students and staff involved in the Learning Enhancement Program as appropriate
  • Providing general and administrative support to the Learning Enhancement Coordinator


We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role and who has completed relevant Teacher Aide qualifications.  A natural enjoyment of working with children to bring out their best is essential as is the ability to quickly build rapport with students, teachers and parents alike.
