Part-time casual position
The College invites applications for the part-time casual position of Junior School and Senior School uniform shop manager, to commence as soon as possible. This is a permanent part time position that would suit a person who is highly motivated and can work as part of the College administration team.
The position involves responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the uniform shops including sales, administration, stock management and financial accountability.
Helena College Junior School in Darlington and Senior School in Glen Forrest are independent co-educational day schools, which, combined, provide education from K to Year 12 for the hills area of Perth.
Student enrolments at the Senior School for 2013 are 510, with a total Middle School (Years 7 to 9) enrolment of 260, with similar numbers in Upper School (Years 10 to 12). The main student intake occurs at Year 7 with three classes in each year level from Year 7 to 12.

Selection criteria includes:
- commitment to providing a friendly and welcoming uniform shop customer service forall Junior School and Senior School children and staff
- ability to manage volunteer rosters as required
- knowledge of occupational safety and health guidelines
- ability to maintain on-going stock control and undertake bi-annual stocktakes
- evidence of organisational and planning ability
- evidence of financial record keeping experience
- willingness and ability to live out the school’s Vision / Mission / Values statement withgood humour, fairness, resourcefulness and wisdom
Days and times
The College uniform shops are open as follows:
Junior School Uniform Shop (Darlington campus)
OPEN: Thursday afternoons - 3pm-4pm
Hours would be 2.30pm – 4.30pm allowing time for set up / cash out etc.
Senior School Uniform Shop (Glen Forrest campus)
OPEN: Wednesdays - 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm
Hours would be 7.30am – 9.30am and 2.30pm – 4.30pm
OPEN: Thursday mornings - 8am-9am
Hours would be 7.30am – 9.30am
Additional time is allocated for administration, ordering and sorting of uniforms, bi-annual stocktakes, extended shop hours during orientation / school holidays and managing volunteer rosters.
Total hours per week:
8 hours during term time
plus some additional hours for administration and for holiday opening times as appropriate
