We have a few changes taking place on the resources platform - here's what you need to know.

We’re making some improvements to the design of resource pages and to our payment system. As a result, you may notice that some pages look a little different and you may experience some changes when downloading or purchasing resources. Read on to find answers to some of the questions you may have about the changes we have made.

 

All of the links in the box on the left hand side of the resources page (containing my account information, my downloaded resources and my Elements subscription, for example) has disappeared. Where can I find that information now?

You can access all of these links by clicking on your profile picture on the top right-hand corner of your screen.

 

I want to access the hand-picked subject collections. How do I do this now that the topical and themed button in the top navigation bar has gone?

Why is there no longer a watermark on the file previews?

The previews no longer have a watermark as they are now static images and you cannot scroll through the automatic previews of files. The image size and clarity will not enable usable copies to be made from the preview images. You will also notice that below each preview image you can see the file type and size. If you are an author and you wish to upload a single page resource, we recommend that you use a custom preview. If you are concerned about how preview images are used, we recommend that you could create your own watermarks for preview images that you upload. You can find a suggestion on how to do this here.

 

Why can I no longer see the categories and ages tag buttons on the new resources page?

On the new resources page, we are only showing the main subject and main age range selected by the resource author when they uploaded their resource. When you search for resources on the site, however, the tags will still be used to help you find the resource that you need.

 

Why does the checkout look different?

We have upgraded to a new payment system. The new checkout process should be faster and more intuitive for you to use.

 

Will there be any change to the functionality available when downloading or purchasing a resource?

While we upgrade all our systems and make improvements, some features may be temporarily unavailable (e.g. reviews and school liscences). You may also notice some disruption while uploading and downloading resources; if that’s the case, please inform us of any technical issues by contacting customer services at help@tes.com.

 

How do I leave a review?

While we finalise the new-look pages, reviews cannot be left on the resource display page. However you can still find the resource in your downloads list and leave a review from this page.
