How to set up a Job Alert

In order to apply for a job, you need to know that the job exists. You can do it several ways, and reading through the jobs section of the TES on a Friday evening has always been, and still is, my start to the weekend!


But it’s a good idea to set up Job Alerts, so that as soon as an appropriate job is advertised, the TES site will send you an email.  It’s quite an easy thing to do.




Go to the Jobs Page.   Scroll down and on the bottom left you'll see Register for email Job Alerts.  


Just click on that and away you go. 


I suggest that you do a separate Job Alert for each of the subjects that you can teach (secondary) or each Key Stage (primary). Then do them all over again for independent schools, to give yourself the biggest possible chance of hearing about appropriate jobs for you.


And don't forget to download the TES Jobs App onto your phone (iPhone or Android) or tablet.
