Summary of Teaching Resource Licence

Please note: Our Teaching Resource Licence is not a Creative Commons licence – please see further below. For the full licence text click here.

You can:

Teach With — copy, edit and provide the licensed material to those students you teach in any medium or format for the purpose of educating them and/or their private study.

But, No Sharing – you have been issued a single licence for your own use and the right to grant a limited licence to your students to use the licensed material as part of your teaching and their own private study.

As long as you comply with the licence terms, the licensor cannot revoke these freedoms other than in certain limited circumstances (such as if the licensed material is found to be in breach of our website terms and conditions).

Under the following terms:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit to the licensor, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if you have made changes to the licensed material. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use of the licensed material.
No Sharing of Derivatives (except to teach) — if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material except to those people you teach.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.

TES Global Ltd will generally make the licenced material available for download by you for an extended period of time after purchase, but cannot guarantee that it will be available for download forever.

You may not have to comply with the licence for parts of the material that are already licensed to the public for free or where a particular use of the material is permitted by an applicable exception or limitation under copyright law.

The license over the material is granted on an "as is" and “as available” basis and no warranties are given in respect of the accuracy of the licensed material or its fitness for a particular purpose.

This document is a summary of (and not a substitute for) our Teaching Resource Licence. The licence was created by TES Global Ltd and is neither part of the Creative Commons system of licences nor endorsed by the Creative Commons organisation; however, the design of the licence itself and this summary was inspired by, and reuses parts of, the Creative Commons BY-ND 4.0 International Licence. The bold terms have the same meanings as defined in the full licence text. The attribution and the no-derivatives icons are licenced under Creative Commons BY 4.0 International Licence and were created by Creative Commons,
