Tes Institute has announced its partnership with the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS) to help international schools invest in the development and retention of high-quality teaching staff.
The partnership will bring Tes Institute’s teacher training and professional development programmes to ECIS’s global community, which includes more than 500 membership communities and 50,000 educators and leaders across over 80 countries.
The partnership forms part of Tes Institute’s mission to train, develop and retain world-class teachers by extending access to accredited development pathways for educators working in international schools.
Through the partnership, ECIS member schools will be able to access Tes Institute programmes designed to support teachers at different stages of their careers, from postgraduate study through to routes leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Designed to work alongside school life, the programmes enable teachers to continue developing professionally without needing to step away from the classroom.
For international schools, this provides an opportunity to create clearer development and progression routes for existing staff, while strengthening teaching quality and supporting long-term teacher retention.

As part of the partnership, Tes Institute is offering ECIS member schools a 5% discount on its iPGCE programme, providing an additional opportunity for schools to support teachers seeking an internationally focused postgraduate teaching qualification.
