Values and vision
City and Islington College’s mission is to provide exceptional education and training for every student, and its vision is to be London’s leading college. Its key values are excellence, ambition, collaboration and opportunity.
The college aims for students and staff to be dedicated to great learning. It is always looking for ways to grow and develop what it does for the benefit of its students, and all its students are supported to develop and achieve their ambitions. Staff have high aspirations for every student and for themselves and are encouraged to be bold and creative in their work.
“Staff have created and sustained a safe, harmonious and inclusive environment in which students and apprentices learn well. Senior leaders make very good use of their partnerships with employers, other agencies and organisations to develop the curriculum, The majority of learning in all provision types is interesting, maintains students’ and apprentices’ motivation and helps them succeed. Senior leaders and teachers set high standards for themselves and for their students and apprentices.”
