About Danes Educational Trust
The Danes Educational Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust serving families in Hertfordshire, developing optimistic, resilient learners and valued, empowered staff through local, national and global partnerships.
The Danes Educational Trust was formed when Hertfordshire County Council asked St Clement Danes School to apply to open a secondary school in response to significant demographic need. To allow Croxley Danes to open, a multi-academy trust was established. This new, 11 to 18 secondary school opened in September 2017 with Year 7 students and is growing year on year.
The Danes Educational Trust is led by CEO, Dr Josephine Valentine OBE and is based at St Clement Danes School in Chorleywood - a town in South West Hertfordshire close to Junction 18 of the M25. The Trust has an association with St Clement Danes’ founding charity, Holborn Estates, established in London in 1551.
Although currently comprising just the two schools, the Trust is working with two other secondary schools who are scheduled to join us on 1st July. Both these schools are in the Hatfield/Potters Bar area. The intention is to provide forward-looking hubs of high performing schools that serve local families in Hertfordshire.
