About Holy Spirit Primary School
Holy Spirit Primary School is a co-educational K-6 Catholic Primary School located in the Newcastle suburb of Kurri Kurri, north of Sydney, New South Wales. The school was established in 1908 by the Sisters of St Joseph, however its name was changed to its current title in 1991 bringing it inline with the Parish name. The current student population is 105.

Holy Spirit Primary School is a small well-resourced primary school that offers welcoming and comprehensive learning environments for its students. A key feature of each classroom is the use of current technologies as the prevalent teaching and learning resource.
All curriculum content of Holy Spirit Primary School is drawn from the New South Wales Board of Studies syllabuses in the six Key Learning Areas. Religious Education is also a prominent component of the school’s overall teaching focus. Programs that focus on the individual needs of each student are differentiated as required and are a priority for all classroom teaching staff.
The core values of Holy Spirit Primary School Kurri Kurri are based on the Gospels of Jesus Christ and the school motto of ”Peace and Justice”, is something which all community members strive to live each day. The school aims to instil the values of compassion, forgiveness, peace and justice as a means of ensuring a well-rounded education for all students.
