Horsmonden Primary Academy

Here at Horsmonden Primary Academy, our aim is to encourage lifelong learning and develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring individuals that understand the world around them while demonstrating respect. It is important to us all that Horsmonden children are prepared for life outside Horsmonden and that journey starts the minute they walk through our doors.

Our curriculum is framed by the Primary Years Programme, from the International Baccalaureate and we strongly believe in the 10 learner profile attributes. They represent the capacities and responsibilities for intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth. Together, staff and children are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.

At Horsmonden we have developed a friendly, caring and thoughtful atmosphere that has evolved through the use of the words “Happiness, Kindness, Success”. This motto is integral to our school history and ethos. As we move towards becoming an IB school, these words have helped shape our vision for the future.
