About International School Eindhoven (ISE)
International School Eindhoven (ISE) is a co-educational international school located in the city of Eindhoven, Netherlands. First established in 1974, the school moved onto its current site in 2013, and currently accounts for around 800 students both of Primary and Secondary age. The curriculum at International School Eindhoven is primarily English-language based, but is split into both International and Dutch departments. The school’s Dutch department still provides a large number of English-language lessons, with the school aiming to have all of its pupils with strong English-language skills. Following Primary school, pupils at ISE then move on to the school’s Secondary departments, which utilises the IB Middle Years programme, followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma, an internationally-recognised pre-university qualification. Supporting this curriculum, ISE is able to boast of a number of modern academic facilities, including a dedicated library and media centre. Outside of academic commitments, ISE also provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students to partake in, including international field trips and numerous after school clubs, with the school having a particular focus on the creative arts.
Primary Department – Joan Roach/Daphne Dansen
Secondary Department – Marcella Watts
Teachers at ISE are expected to hold a relevant university degree for primary or secondary education, depending on their department. Previous experience of the International Baccalaureate curriculum is preferred, as is a willingness to contribute to the school community outside the classroom.
