More about Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby Junior and Senior school
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group ("free school"), reaching academic results far above average in Sweden. It was founded in 1993 by Ms Barbara Bergstrom, a science teacher originally from the US.
Over 20,000 students are currently enrolled in our 30 schools around the country, mainly grades 4-9 ages 10-16. We will be expanding with 4 new schools in August 2017.
IES is the largest free school organization in the compulsory school system in Sweden.
More about the company and its schools can be found at www.engelska.se
Our school in Täby is a well established and successful school in the Stockholm area. Celebrating our 10th year during 2016, we are now due to popular demand, expanding our intake in junior school in August 2017 to be 1200 students and over 100 staff. Bilingualism, Tough Love and High Academic Expectations in a creative learning environment is the IES key to success at the very core of all we do at our Täby IES school.
