Values and vision
The educational life of Kantor King Solomon High School is deeply influenced by its Jewish ethos. The school’s aim is to create the ‘Educated Mensch’ (Yiddish for a person of integrity and honour) by helping its students to appreciate the empowering role faith has in society and by nurturing in them the desire to make a better world.
The importance of having the ability to work individually and in teams is promoted and pupils are given guidance and support to fulfil their potential both academically and socially.
Kantor King Solomon gives a high priority to providing a safe and caring environment, where pupils are valued for who they are, not just for what they can do.
In May 2016 Ofsted said “Leaders place pupil’s welfare before anything else”, a source of great pride for all who work here. A good school we are not complacent but strive to be better. Our school motto, taken from the Ethics of the Fathers 1:14 under pins the values we stand for and the values we seek to teach our students. “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, who am I? If not now, when?”
