About Marina International School

Marina International School is an all-through, independent, mainstream school for girls and boys aged between three and 16 years old. It is based in Banjul, in the Republic of the Gambia. It prepares the students for their IGCSE, AS and A-level examinations. It follows the British curriculum. The educational establishment is funded by the state. The school opened more than 50 years ago. At the moment, there are around 1,000 children on the roll at the school.

Marina International School aims to give the students an all-rounded education that is both enriching and well-balanced. Teachers nurture the children and make sure they have personal, social and academic development. The pupils are taught about how to lead a healthy lifestyle. The aim is to make sure the students become independent, mature adults, with a passion for learning for the rest of their lives.
