Values and vision
Northgate High School’s aims underpin all that it does in the school. It claims to encourage all pupils to maximise their potential by developing lively and enquiring minds, which value achievements and learning. The school aims to remove barriers to learning and to maximise opportunities. It also encourages the school community to celebrate one another’s successes and to show consideration for others
The Northgate values are Respect, Determination and Teamwork.
“Pupils achieved very well in Year 11 in 2015. The proportion that gained 5 A* to C grades at GCSE including English and mathematics was well above the national level. Learners gain good qualifications in the sixth form. It has established a good reputation and attracts many learners from other schools. Pupils behave well in lessons and around the school. Their attitudes to learning are good; disruption to learning is uncommon and when it does occur it is dealt with effectively.”
