About High Oaks

Interested in developing your career in special education?

We are holding an open day on 24th April  for anyone interested working in special education  to come and visit our new school and specialist independent college - Great Oaks.

Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow. We provide specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We can cater for students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group.

We are interested to hear from qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) who are already working in special education and looking for a change,  NQT's  and those who work mainstream but are considering branching out into special education.  All teachers are invited to come along and see our school and college and find out more about what its like working here.

We value our employees and offer excellent training and support along with a pension scheme,  Employee Assistance Programme and other well-being benefits.

Call or email Lindsey Banks HR manager on 0208 560 3569 lbanks@oaklands .uk.net to book a place on the open day.

Careers at Oaklands School

Can you make a difference to children and young people’s lives?  We have opportunities for people who wish to develop a career working with students with learning disabilities.

We need to employ many more staff over the coming years and would like to hear from anyone looking to develop a career in special education.

Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; we are currently working towards expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. The schools will be based on two sites and will consist of a new primary school (New Oaks) opening in September 2019, along with the current secondary school (High Oaks) and an independent post 19 college (Great Oaks) opening September 2018.

Oaklands is a specialist educational provision for students aged 3 – 25 who have severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), or autism (ASD).

Oaklands believes that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief.
