About Prendergast Ladywell School

Prendergast Ladywell School is a coeducational 4-16 school where young people in our local community are provided with an excellent education that enables them to achieve outstanding outcomes in a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. We are a school that CARES; where Community, Ambition, Resilience, Effort, and Success are valued. Our students are led by reflective and committed teachers and support staff.

We believe that all our students can Achieve Excellence; it is the motto written on the badge of every student in the school. Prendergast Ladywell School provides high-quality teaching and an enjoyable and challenging curriculum, complemented by a wide range of enrichment activities. Our reflective and kind students are encouraged to make positive contributions to our school and our community and to be healthy, happy, and engaged citizens.

Our school ethos is underpinned by the relationships that the members of our community have with each other. These relationships are built on the foundation of compassion, equity, and mutual respect, so that members of our community have a sense of belonging and are free to develop into the best versions of themselves.

We are Stronger Together; we contribute to and benefit from the collaboration and support of the Leathersellers' Federation Vision and Values

We look forward to working with you.

What people say about us

“It is only when you look back, that you realise how the changes which we have made are adding up to a real transformation in the school.”

- Staff

My son has a brilliant rapport with all the teachers at the school. This has definitely contributed to him achieving above his target grades.”

- Parent

My day starts at 7am, there are various parts to the role that require setting up each morning as each day is different. Staff arrive at 8am and we brief for the day. Over my time I have learnt that each day can bring unexpected workload, the culture is friendly and supportive; we all aim for the same outcomes. The hardest part is the unexpected workload if an incident has occurred, this can be emotive and as a manger I must ensure my staff are supported.
