Values and vision
At Preston Park Primary School the children are placed at the centre of all decision making to help them develop into confident, resilient and independent learners. The aim is for every child to leave Preston Park not only with a love of learning that lasts a lifetime, but academically, socially and emotionally prepared for the future. As well as valuing academic success, the school celebrates children’s achievements in music, sport and the arts.
Preston Park Primary School is one of the first schools to be awarded a Specialist Centre status for Science by the Brent Schools Partnership (BSP). It has successfully embedded the culture of “working scientifically” across the school and in doing so has secured the Primary Science Quality Mark Gold Award for the teaching and learning of science.
“Pupils have positive attitudes to learning and because of this factor and good working relationships with teachers, they make good progress. The vast majority of pupils are absorbed in their learning and work hard in lessons. They get on well together, respecting each other’s points of view.”
