Values and Vision
Students at Queen Ethelburga’s College are guided by the school’s continuing aims for success, resulting in motivated college students with high aspirations and an academic ability to succeed. A wide variety of students from different backgrounds and abilities make up the school roll, and an education that appreciates students’ abilities as individuals helps make the most of these differences. It is a school that never fails to challenge its students, while giving them the support needed to succeed.
“Principles and values are actively promoted which facilitate the personal development of pupils as responsible, tolerant, law-abiding citizens. Boarders’ views are actively encouraged and their opinions and concerns are appropriately considered by staff. Arrangements are made to safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils by means that pay due regard to current statutory guidance; good behaviour is promoted; bullying is prevented so far as reasonably practicable; health and safety requirements are made.”
