Values and vision
Rushcroft Foundation School wants to provide an outstanding education to all students in an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels safe and valued, regardless of their backgrounds and abilities. The secondary school aims to offer pupils a stimulating curriculum, taught by dedicated teaching staff, who work to ensure that individuals unique skills and talents are identified and nurtured during their time studying. The school wishes for all pupils to reach their full academic, personal and social potential so that they can go on to lead successful and fulfilling future lives, equipped with the skills, knowledge and positive attitudes to become responsible and active members of society. Community plays an important role at the East London school and parents are encouraged to get involved with their children’s education so that all students benefit from a strong support system both in class and during their home life.
“The great majority of teaching is characterised by effective planning, high-quality questioning and high expectations of what pupils can achieve. This builds pupils’ confidence and self-esteem. Positive, respectful relationships between staff and pupils make a contribution to the learning and as a result pupils in most lessons make good progress.”
