Shrewsbury High has a reputation for academic excellence whilst also valuing a holistic education. A forward thinking and dynamic school, SHS has acquired a national reputation for its innovative work, winning awards in areas such as STEM, sport and for its partnership work with other schools.

Shrewsbury High School wants all its students to acknowledge their strengths and interests, explore their potential, and become open-minded and confident young adults who are ready to face the outside world. It is a welcoming and enjoyable learning environment that provides students with a wide range of opportunities for personal growth.
