St Anselm's College

St Anselm’s College is a single sex all-boys Catholic secondary school with sixth form in Merseyside, serving boys from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Birkenhead has approximately 907 students on record. 

St Anselm’s College was founded in 1933 and converted to academy status in 2011, joining the Edmund Rice Academies Trust. It is part of a global network of 300 schools across 25 countries around the world.

St Anselm’s College’s aim is to develop the spiritual, intellectual, physical and personal development of students and prepare them for life after school in a modern and ever changing society. The Merseyside secondary school works to encourage student's talents and academic potential with the vision that each child will work to the best of their ability and achieve to the highest of their capabilities. St Anselm’s College promotes the values of honor, integrity and self-worth and worships the Catholic faith throughout daily school life, with the motto: “Fides Quaerens Intellectum’, translating to ‘The faith that seeks to understand better what it already believes’. The school holds a Sports England Sportsmark award and students are encouraged to get involved in a wide range of sporting activities, ranging from athletics to cross country.
