Values and vision
As a Roman Catholic college, St Brendan's Sixth Form College aims to strive for excellence in teaching by acting in the spirit of the gospel and by supporting each individual with the ethos that they are unique creations of God.
The college aims to support all members of its diverse and multi-faith community to grow in their faith and to engage in dialogue and reflection which develops understanding and respect for different faith journeys and desire to serve the wider community in social justice action. The college also often encourages students to engage in programmes for faith development.
“The advanced graduate programme (AGP) and the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programme each provide highly appropriate teaching and enrichment opportunities for the students. Students continue to experience good teaching and effective assessment of their work. They receive good advice and guidance before they enter the college and during their study programmes. The vast majority enjoy their courses, make good progress and gain their qualifications.”
