About Stover School

Stover School is a mixed, all-through independent Church of England day and boarding school with sixth form, situated in Newton Abbot, Devon. There are approximately 500 pupils at the school, between the ages of 3-18.

Stover School was established in 1932 and remains on its original site. The school started life as a day and boarding school for girls between the ages of 11-18, a nursery was opened in 1994 and boys were admitted in 2002.

The school is continuously expanding and recent developments include an all-weather sports dome, sports pavilion and Drama studio.

Stover School wishes to celebrate, challenge and inspire pupils within a nurturing learning environment. The school wants pupils grow as confident and motivated individuals. Stover School maintains a close partnership with the wider community and practices its Christian values throughout daily school life.

Pupils at Stover School are high achievers and the school’s mathematics team has won regional awards, while a large number of pupils have received prizes across competitions in music, sports and drama.
