TES Institute is a leading provider of online courses and programmes with a particular focus on teacher training and development. We have a wealth of experience in the education sector and our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme is accredited by The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL). We have recently been praised by Ofsted for the quality of our training across the partnership.

TES Institute, inspected under the new June 2014 two stage framework, received an overall grade of ‘Good’ for its work securing consistently high quality outcomes for its trainees. TES Institute is the largest provider of Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) programmes for pre-ITT trainees in England and also offers a range of online SKE to qualified teachers. These SKE programmes have won a number of accolades, including an award in the ‘best online learning programme’ category at the e-Learning awards 2013.

Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) programmes for trainee teachers

These 100% online programmes are available to anyone with a conditional offer on a teacher training programme in (currently) Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Modern Languages, Computing, Biology and Geography, with English and Primary with Maths to be launched shortly, who needs to enhance their subject knowledge before starting ITT. Funding from the NCTL is available to eligible trainees for programme lengths ranging from 8-28 weeks for all subjects other than English.
