About The British School New Delhi
The British School is based in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, in the Republic of India. It is an independent, all-through, mainstream educational establishment for girls and boys. At the moment, there are approximately 900 pupils on the roll at the school. It was founded in 1963 by a small group of British parents. Its mascot is a panther. It helps students gain their International Baccalaureate Diploma, as well as a range of other qualifications. There are around 1,000 pupils on the roll from over 55 different nationalities. They are taught for 13 years at the school.
Values and Vision
The British School New Delhi’s mantra is: ‘We fly with our own wings’. The school aims to make sure every student feels safe on the site and enjoy their time. They are taught to be proud of where they come from and accept everyone in the diverse community they live in. Pupils are taught to take on every challenge and to be respectful of those around them. Multi-culturalism is valued and seen as an important part of the Indian culture. The students are expected to work as a team to make sure they have the necessary skills for life in the workplace.
