About The British School of Gavá

The British School of Gavá is a private school in Barcelona, Spain. Students are taught from the foundation to secondary stage. Students follow the British National Curriculum as well as studying Spanish language and humanities. The 'integrated curriculum' approach also has an appreciation of International Baccalaureate philosophy. The British College of Gavà is part of an emerging network of British Schools established in cities around Spain including Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Málaga.

The school has established a partnership with the Elite Tennis Academy, in order to provide the most inclusive programme possible for its student-athletes. Learners follow a rigorous tennis programme coupled with a reduced hour weekly academic education focusing on core parts of the curriculum.

Values and vision

The British School of Gavá wishes for its students to enjoy life long fulfilment, and is dedicated to opportunities for them to achieve academic, artistic and sporting excellence, lasting physical, spiritual and mental health, and to be inspired to accomplish personal and professional success.

The school’s mission is achieved by nurturing an awareness in every student of their personal value and the value of others, both as individuals and members of the school community, achieving self-esteem and embedding a ‘can do’ attitude. This is coupled with setting challenges that fall within the extended grasp of the students which require innovation, creativity and problem solving

The student’s intellectual curiosity is fostered, developing an independence in learning and motivation to work hard in order to achieve academic excellence.
