Values and vision
The Bromfords School and Sixth Form’s key aim is to be a school where its pupils are happy; where they feel safe and able to express themselves; and where they can access a challenging and appropriate curriculum. Promoting positive role models and fostering individual and collective pride are viewed as important, playing a role in creating pupils who are confident learners, able and ready to conquer barriers to success.
Academic progress is regularly monitored, although success in this area is not the be all and end all to education at the school. A wide range of extra-curricular and sporting activities are on offer, reflecting a holistic approach to developing pupils’ abilities.
The school’s sixth form, which benefits from small classes, prides itself on offering students a bespoke curriculum. Its aim is to encourage its students not only to develop a lifelong love of learning but to become caring and active citizens in the local community.
“The governors and headteacher have a vision for the school which middle leaders and staff share. There is a clear culture of hard work and good behaviour throughout the school. Governors and leaders have a firm understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for further development.”
