Located in the city of Abuja, Nigeria, the Regent School is a British-style international school first established in 2000. Founded in order to serve the community of British expatriates, the school has around 800 pupils of primary and secondary-school age in a co-educational setting. Admission to the school is conducted via an entrance test. The school primarily follows the British National Curriculum for all students, working towards them studying for the iGCSE in their final two years of school in Years 10 and 11. The school has a large number of local subjects intended to increase the curriculum’s suitability for local students, including Nigerian Studies programmes. To this end, the school offers a diverse range of subjects for students to choose from, supporting them with a range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities. These include extensive play areas for younger pupils, as well as playing fields and various common areas. The school also maintains numerous high-quality classrooms and a range of IT facilities.
