Waltham Toll Bar Academy is an outstanding, over-subscribed 11-19 Academy, including an academic Sixth Form with excellent facilities.  Teachers enjoy a well-disciplined teaching environment, where their future career progression is always encouraged and supported. Rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted consistently since 2008, Waltham Toll Bar Academy creates an academic environment for staff members and the local community to be proud of.  We provide an environment where success and excellence are celebrated and developed in students and staff.

Development Opportunities

Waltham Toll Bar Academy prides itself on providing career progression opportunities for staff of all levels and experience. A number of pastoral and curriculum management roles are currently held by former NQTs, who began their teaching careers at the academy. CPD is an integral part of our Vision, with regular training opportunities for all staff. ECTs completing their induction at the academy can be assured of extensive support and guidance from expert colleagues both within and beyond the academy, and our staff also have opportunities to complete the newly reformed suite of NPQs.
