Values and vision
Turves Green Boys’ School has a list of key aims that it endeavours to follow, in order to help pupils achieve their full potential.
The secondary school aims to ensure all students achieve; it sets high aspirations for pupils to give them the best chance of success; it strives to instil a love of learning; it works hard to be a caring, respectful and challenging environment; it supports students to become independent learners; and it fosters and celebrates achievement and success.
“Students develop good knowledge, skills and understanding in most subjects and particularly in English. Their GCSE results reflect good progress from low starting points. Teachers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subjects and work well together to develop their skills. Students work hard and behave well. The school is a harmonious community where students get on well and are respectful of each other and of adults. Students enjoy a rich range of learning experiences to match their abilities and personal interests. Spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of learning are well developed and students support many charities.”
